Dear Fellow Rotarians,

I congratulate you all on the wonderful projects that you have created for your local community and our world community.  You are truly MAKING DREAMS REAL for the children of the world!  There has been much to learn about District Simplified Grants and International Project Matching Grants and you have been so fortunate to have the guidance and expertise of our District Grants Coordinator Christine Isham ( Pensacola Suburban West Club), Rotary Foundation Chair Past District Governor Ivan Johnson (Tallahassee Club)and World Community Service Chair Carl Dickerson ( Cantonment Club).  You have completely depleted the $28,000 we had allocated for District Simplified Grants and the majority of our clubs have grasped the value of our “Revenue Sharing” procedure for our District Designated Funds and are leveraging those monies to do more good in the world and especially in the Caribbean!  Thank you all for your hard work and dedicated service to the cause of Rotary!

I urge you all to make your annual contributions to our Rotary Foundation Annual Fund and your commitment to our Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Polio Plus Challenge Grant Fund during the next few weeks to avoid the year end confusion when 32,000 Rotary clubs send in their monies during the last two weeks of June.  Don’t get lost in the shuffle!  Let’s make it happen!
